Summer is here! So are our workshops!

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet since the Our Earth exhibition. We’ve been busy behind the scenes! If you didn’t manage to take part in our open call exhibition and postcard competition this year, there will be another chance to exhibit your work with us next April. In the meantime, we’ve got several workshops across the city and county to keep you busy. And in case you missed it, here’s what our exhibition space looked like.

First up, our Insecta Collective workshop schedule is now live, and you can book your slots to come and join in with our creative nature activities here. These are suitable for all ages and abilities, we welcome families, and those with additional needs and disabilities will be catered to. This year we are asking for a booking fee to secure your place, as last year many people booked but didn’t show up on the day, leaving others on the waiting lists unable to come. So, if you book, we hope you can make it, and if you can’t please let us know in good time if possible.

f you can’t attend any of our Leicester city workshops, or you live near Melton, our art leader Liz is running workshops for Melton Space this year, at Melton Country Park, starting on July 19th and running for four Fridays across the summer. This is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. Below is the poster for these dates, and remember, if you want to book onto these workshops, please email Melton Space – events@meltonspace.org.uk

Adults looking for arts and biodiversity workshops to attend can keep their eyes peeled for sessions provided by Charnwood Arts starting at the end of September, these will also be facilitated by Liz and explore mapping nature creatively.
